Don Eitzman, a member of Westminster, was recently in Palestine as a volunteer pediatrician at the refugee camp adjacent to Bethlehem. Don was in Israel/Palestine earlier with Christian Peacemaker Teams. Emmanuel Mennonite Church has invited Don to speak about his first-hand experience of conditions in the Occupied Territories at 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1521 NW 34 StThe Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Shands is named in honor of Dr. Donald V. Eitzman, who established the first unit in 1960 and was chief of this division for more than 40 years. He is emeritus professor at the UF Medical School and an authority in pediatric medicine.
