      If someone you loved was murdered, what would you do?
       
      Kathy Dillon, a member of Murder Victims� Families for Reconciliation, shares her story.
       
      �When I was 14 years old, my father was shot and killed in the line of duty on the New York State Thruway. He had been a New York State Trooper for 16 years. The death penalty did not protect my father that day, and it has not protected other police officers who have been shot and killed in states that have capital punishment. I oppose the death penalty for a host of reasons, among them I believe that humans should not have the right to decide who dies, whether in an act of violence or in response to violence."�Kathy Dillon
