      Hello Everyone!

We finally have the club puck account fully up and running now. All checks will now be written to "Club Puck." The account is under Cen-Cal Diving's tax exempt number. Because of this we have to track all the money that comes into the account. At the end of the year you will get a receipt from Cen-Cal for your "donation." This donation is tax deductible.

Since I have to track all the money, two things will make things easier:

      1) pay in lump sums rather that one night at a time (it is easier if you do this in advance, rather that me having to go back pages to determine how much you owe). You can opt to pay the monthly fee, or you can even pay for 6 months if you choose (approx $50/month). I will then just subtract $5(T&Th) or $6 (Sun) off of your credit that you built up each night you show up (or subtract the monthly rate if you show up enough). You can still pay each night, but the more people that pay in bulk, the easier it is for me.

      2) Pay by check rather that cash (Checks made to "Club Puck", with "pool fees" written in the memo portion on the bottom of the check). You can still pay by cash if you like, but when you give me cash you will have to write your full name, the amount, and pool fees on a post-it note (I will keep a stack in the hockey box).

On another note. If you need to be reimbursed from the hockey account (i.e. supplied pucks for practice, got supplies to fix the Sport Court, etc.) you will need to give me the original receipt. I recommend you keep a copy for your own records. You will not be able use this in leu of hockey dues - Just keep paying your dues and I will write you a check for the amount on the receipt (I know it all comes out the same at the end, but it is much easier to track things this way.)

Well, that's about all. Hopefully this will make things easier for everyone...and you can use your donation as a tax deduction (if you chose to do so).

The fees for November are $52. There will not be hockey on Turkey Day (11/22), but there are no other expected cancellations for November.

      Happy Hockey,

      Karen

      P. S. Congratulations to all the club puck women who tried out for the women's elite team! All 9 women made the first cut (Andrea, Brigit, Helen, Karen (ME), Maddy, Mary Jo, Monika, Sue, and Wendy) - YEAH TEAM!!! Hopefully the master's men will do just as well next weekend!
