Hip, hip hooray!!  Yes, late people ought to have to wait for half time, no matter what the reason.  I came in late yesterday (I was coming from Sacramento and hit some icky traffic), and was prepared to swim laps until halftime.  I was still one of the first people in the water.  That's not right!

I agree with Bob.  Time for consequences!  Warmup and puck drills are good for you anyway!

Fantastic turnout, yesterday!  Hip, hip hooray for that too!!

Wow, hockey in San Jose is back!  We had 26 people in the water yesterday.  Numerous veterans, rookies, occasional players, out-of-towners, and newbies.  In short, all of the cool kids were there.  And for those of you familiar with how hockey is played, 26 people means we were able to break into two games.  Yes, you read that right, two games.  All in all a wonderful day, except.....

We've collectively developed a terrible habit of showing up late and screwing around until 30 minutes after start time.  I see no reason for it.  We're paying for pool time, and everyone always wants to play one more point at the end of the practice.  How about we play an extra 10 more points at the beginning?  We've had good turnouts on Wednesday's and incredible turnouts on Sunday, we should be able to get started quickly.

Yesterday, even with all those players, we couldn't even get started at 4:30.  Come on folks, quit screwing around and get in the pool.  And then we had more late comers come in, pushing us into the two games, burning up more playing time as we had to split up teams again and set up.

I propose that we get back to some sort of a decent schedule.  Let's take roll and divide teams at 5 minutes after the hour and then start the game at 10 after.  If you're late, we'll work you in at half time.  You can swim laps and do puck drills until we get to half time.

All in favor say, hip hip hooray.
