For those of you that have the DVD of the 1977 miniseries Washington: Behind Closed Doors (starring Stefanie Powers of Hart to Hart fame, among others), have you checked to see which logo appears in the closing credits? I am feeling suspicious about this considering the DVD's release in 2012 - 7 years after CBS and Viacom broke apart.
The ending logo on the original ABC run would have been the 1975 Blue Mountain with the 1977 Jerry Goldsmith jingle, but early syndicated reruns may use the 1979 Lalo Schifrin jingle instead (as with 1983 prints of James Clavell's Shogun, originally broadcast 1980 on NBC).
The reason I am bringing this up is because no DVD-quality version of the logo I'm trying to find seems to exist:
