      I did something similar in my 66 Avion. I pulled out each light fixture til I found a smoked wire nut connector. They seemed to string the wires from light to light so a problem with one took out three more. Worth a try.

      Yes, this area is where all of the house (interior) camper fuses are
      usually located,
