Jerry, Deep freeze Dave is deeply frozen up here in the Great White North. We have had some nasty weather here, wind chills in the MINUS 40C and colder range

          Jerry,
Deep freeze Dave is deeply frozen up here in the Great White North. We
have had some nasty weather here, wind chills in the MINUS 40C and
colder range the past few weeks.
My camper never saw the road at all this summer, too busy with home
renovations then I was diagnosed with a rare condition called
Polymyalgia Rheumatica. This attacks the joints and muscles and is
extremely painful, drug to control / cure this is Prednizone which has
it's own somewhat unpleasant side effects BUT it does get rid of the
pain and discomfort. Some days one has to wonder which is worse the
          "disease" or the cure.. <VBG>
I know Christmas is a couple of weeks away yet but I may as well start
the ball rolling now and wish everyone here a very Merry Christmas, may
you be surrounded by friends and family and full of good cheer.
Also all the best in the new year and if anyone is traveling may you
arrive at your destination safe and sound..

Dave, Sorry to here about the 'PMR' I got it about 12-15
years ago and also was treated successfully with
Prednesdone. It worked so well for me that I took it far to
long and now have 'steroid myopathy' weakened tendons in the
use of my legs. This is a permanent thing. Not a good thing.
              Good luck with your treatment.

Jack - In the cold New England area for now.

Jack, Doc strated me on a medium dose of the stuff and is slowly tapering me down  to one pill a day. He figures maybe 8 months and I may be able to stop them

                  Jack,

Doc strated me on a medium dose of the stuff and is slowly tapering me
down  to one pill a day. He figures maybe 8 months and I may be able
to stop them completely. I see him every couple of months  and he does
blood work every time I see him. I hope I have no lasting problems from
                  this.
