I've been in the tire business for some years now and this is what I
have seen. I know what you mean as far as the cones and concaves. I
have never seen an adaptor plate to use the newer wheels. If you use
a newer wheel one that rig you are likely to have it fly off as you
would never be able to torque then properly. If it was me I would
stick with the original wheels. If your not happy with how they look
perhaps hub caps are in order.
