456037401 Running Day at Bo'ness. Saturday 22nd March
- Mar 12, 2014Hello All
WE am pleased to announce that the Scottish Thirty-Seven Group - owners of 37025 - will be having a running day on Saturday 22nd March. Starting at 1115, 37401 will haul six return trips to Manuel from Bo’ness at 1115, 1300, 1415, 1530, 1645 and 1800.
We will be asking for a £10 donation on the day. There will be a buffet on board the train selling soft drinks, a mixture of alcoholic drinks and a selection of snacks. Every penny that is made on the day will be going straight towards the completion of the work to get 37025 back on the mainline. There may also be the possibility of cab rides on 401 for a suitable donation (only if you are also sober).
So far, the mainline project has cost the Group in the region of £30,000 which is almost double what we paid for the locomotive back in May 2000. We have a target of £8,000 to raise between now and the locomotive being mainline ready – expected to be sometime in 2014. This amount is over and above the current level of the Group’s regular income. This running day will act as a massive boost towards this target. Therefore, bring your friends, bring your family, bring whoever you can.

Buses during the day are xx:45 and xx:15 from Linlithgow and xx:15 and xx:40 from Bo’ness and the last departure is 18:15 from Bo’ness, then it becomes hourly as the F45 (see below).
In the evening the 45 and 46 turn into the F45 and run hourly at 19:15, 20:15, 21:15 and 22:15 from Bo’ness
All pickups at Linlithgow are at the station side of the High Street at the Four Mary's pub (65 - 67 High Street, Linlithgow) - A 3 minute walk from the station if you come out the station on the Edinburgh bound platform and walk down the hill and take a left onto High Street.
