Subject: Relocation of RG 110 from NARA to regional branches
I'm sure many members of this list are already aware, but just in case,
I thought you might like to know that the records from RG 110 (Records
of the Provost Marshal General's Bureau [Civil War]) will be temporarily
closed as of August 11, 2008.
The records will be relocated from the National Archives building in
Washington, D.C., to NARA's regional locations around the country. They
are scheduled to reopen to the public at the regional branches of the
Archives on December 8.
For further information, see:
I just found this information today at the National Archives' website.
I hope it doesn't frustrate anyone's research travel plans.
