      Tom,

I would be glad to help, also.  If you can give us a names, I am sure bluelady and I can get some information for you. We make a great detective team.  I can pull his service record here at the Chick/Chatt library.  Hopefully, he or his spouse filed for a pension. That will reveal tons of information if we can locate it.

      Respectfully,

Thanks so much. All I know right now is that he lived but I’ll try to get more data. I have been without power for the last 8 or so hours and am now back running. A storm hit but only my block in this area. I must be living wrong or something.

I’ll get back with you on this. Thanks again. The assistance will be appreciated.

Do you know what unit he fought with? Also do you know if he was discharged due to the wound or died there? I may be able to use ancestry. com to help as I am a subscriber.

      Gang,

Again I come to you in need of advice. I have a young friend who wishes to track down his g-g-g-g-great grandfather who came from Georgia and fought in the CSA ranks. He was hospitalized in Richmond from a wound in 1863.  I have his name too but nothing else at the moment. Where could my friend go on the computer to find such information?

      Thanks in advance.

      Tom
