      Hi everyone. A few of you have privately emailed to ask about this
      title, and since this is a Western group, it makes sense to answer
      here. For those of you who like artillery studies, a new book is
      coming out by Richard Brady Williams called "Chicago's Battery Boys:
      The Chicago Mercantile Battery in the American Civil War" (Savas
      Beatie, late January 2005). It is a really strong unit history based
      upon unpublished letters, diaries, official records, with great
      original maps and photos. Ed Bearss just finished the Foreword (he
      is a big fan of this battery, and has long been urging someone to
      write its history). The battey served entirely in the West (Champion
      Hill, Vicksburg, Red River, etc.) You can see more about it at
