        to Confederate service for the war 6/4/1861 - field consolidation
        with 6th & 7th LA Inf Regs from Nov 1864 to 4/9/1865

        Filbin, John IN 15th Inf. Co.H

        15th IN Inf Reg organized at Lafayette, IN for 1 year May 1861 -
        reorganized for 3 years & mustered in 6/14/1861 - moved to
        Indianapolis and then to Clarksburg, WVA 7/1-6/1861 - duty at
        Elkwater Valley July to Nov 1861 - Duty at Knoxville, TN Dec 1863 to
        Feb 1864 - Chattanooga, TN, garrison duty to June 1864 - mustered out
        6/16/1864 [experation of term] - veterans and recruits transfered to
        17th IN Inf Reg.
        Reg lost during service 4 officers and 103 enlisted men killed and
        mortally wounded and 76 enlisted men by disease. Total 183.

        MI - Stanton Guard - organized at Detroit, MI 5/10/1862 - duty at
        Mackinac Island, MI to Sept 1862 - mustered out 9/25/1862

        Filbin, John NY Lt.Arty. 24th Ind.Btty.

        24th NY Independent Battery Light Artillery - organized as
        Battery 'B', New York Rocket Battalion, designated 24th Battery
        2/11/1863 having served provisionally as such from 10/10/1862 -
        served in North Carolina - Siege of Plymouth, NC 4/17-20/1864 -
        captured 4/20/1864 - transfered to 3rd NY Lt Arty as Battery 'L'
        3/8/1865 - joined Reg in Dept of NC 5/28/1865
        Battery lost during service 4 enlisted men killed and mortally
        wounded and 77 enlisted men by disease. Total 81.

        24th PA Inf Reg [3 mos] organized at Philadelphia & mustered in

        5th Brigade, Keim's 2nd Div, Patterson's Army - moved to Hagerstown,
        MD 6/16/1861 - then to Williamsport 6/18/1861 - occupation of
        Martinsburg 7/3/1861 - advance on Bunker Hill 7/16/1861 - at
        Charlestown 7/17/1861 - moved to Harper's Ferry - then to
        Philadelphia & mustered out 8/10/1861
