RE: [cincarm] publication in English of the life of Léonie Martin (Françoise- Thérèse), the sister of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, that was written b y the nuns of the Monastery of the Visitation at Caen
God reward you for this interesting treasure that you have shared with us. And congratulations on the work you have done.
This evening the American-made feature film ““Léonie!” (about the sister of St. Thérèse) premieres in Michigan. A thousand people will see it in four different theaters at a multiplex in Novi, Michigan. In conjunction with its release I am happy to open a new section of the Web site “Saint Thérèse of Lisieux: A Gateway.” The Monastery of the Visitation at Caen generously gave me the “life of Léonie” they circulated at the time of her death in 1941 with permission to translate it into English and to publish it at www.thereseoflisieux.org. I believe this is its first publication in English. Juan Marrero, who is a staunch friend of my work and a devout disciple of Thérèse and of Léonie, translated it for us, and I have illustrated it with photos, some previously unseen, including a photo of the tooth of Thérèse’s that was given to Léonie as a relic! To view it, please visit http://www.thereseoflisieux.org/leonie-martin-sister-st-thrs/
With thanks and good wishes,
