New book connects East Feliciana to JFK assasination theory

A recently released 94 page book focuses on a woman that knew information in the death of a United States President, that devastated the entire world and connects East Feliciana to Rose Cherami.

A Rose By Many Other Names, Rose Cherami & The JFK Assassination, written by Todd C. Elliott writes about a woman who was a known prostitute and drug courier.

Rose Cherami was picked up by authorities in Eunice, La. some 48 hours before thee assassination of John F. Kennedy.  It was within these hours that she would claim that she had been in the company of men who were on their way to kill the President in Dallas that Friday.

Cherami, becomes that main focus for the first time as her life is depicted through documentation of arrest records and personal interviews.

A Rose By Many Other Names reveals by Elliott how she became, just minutes after the assassination, the center of the first, non-publicized investigation into President Kennedy’s murder.

After reading this book, it gave me new insight to the possibilities of what could of happened and how people knew of what was to take place just days before the assassination.  The part I enjoyed about the book was the fact that Jackson, La. was tied into the book and tells of mob figures, mafia and murder.

Eunice News reporter and Lake Charles native resident Todd Elliott is now possibly one of the youngest published authors in the JFK Assassination genre thanks to his November 22, 2012 story from The Eunice News on Rose Cherami.

As an investigative journalist and photographer, his book, “A Rose By Many Other Names: Rose Cherami & The JFK Assassination”, came as a direct result of Elliott’s feature story in the Eunice News. The story went viral and garnered well over 22,000 views in less than two months. However, Elliot’s first story published on Cherami, with the same working title, was featured in a November 2010 issue of Lagniappe Magazine in Lake Charles.

The book was slated for publication on September 19, 2013 from Trine Day Publishing but has already been released. The book received worldwide distribution in anticipation of the 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination.

Elliott has been a freelance writer for more than 20 years with his work appearing in such publications as The Contraband (at McNeese State University in Lake Charles), Public News (of Houston), Pile Magazine (of Houston), The Daily Advertiser (of Lafayette), Greater Lafayette Business Journal (of Lafayette, La.), Jambalaya News (of Lake Charles), Lagniappe Magazine (of Lake Charles), American Press (of Lake Charles), Lakecharles.com, The Eunice News (of Eunice, La.), Crowley Post-Signal (of Crowley, La.) and The Abbeville Meridian (of Abbeville, La.).
