      How do liberals fight poverty? They make more people poor.
      No, it makes no sense whatsoever, but if you're a liberal, it's a viable solution... after all, it's "fair."
      Of course, we're talking about the newest liberal-inspired plan to allow a United Nations style tax on American citizens.
      It's the Global Poverty Act (S.2433), and according to some conservative sources, this sickening bill could potentially force the United States to spend as much as $845,000,000,000.00 on welfare to third-world countries.
      Among them, Phyllis Schlafly who recently wrote:
      "Obama's costly, dangerous and altogether bad bill (S. 2433), which could come up in the Senate any day, is called the Global Poverty Act. It would commit U.S. taxpayers to spend 0.7 percent of our Gross Domestic Product on foreign handouts..." [Emphasis Mine]
      And WorldNetDaily.com quotes Cliff Kincaid at Accuracy in Media as saying:
      "[T]he legislation, if approved, dedicates 0.7 percent of the U.S. gross national product to foreign aid, which over 13 years... would amount to $845 billion 'over and above what the U.S. already spends.'"

      "The plan passed the House in 2007 'because most members didn't realize what was in it.' Congressional sponsors have been careful not to calculate the amount of foreign aid spending that it would require."
      $845 BILLION is hardly a drop in the bucket and, yes, that's in addition to our Foreign Aid programs, which, in 2006, cost American taxpayers almost $300 BILLION!
      But make no mistake -- for those of us who are compassionate -- you can be sure that most of that money will do little to alleviate poverty or help the needy.
      If we allow history to be our guide, we can be certain that the most of the money will be gobbled up by third-world tyrants and bureaucrats, who live in heavily guarded palaces and drive gold-plated Rolls-Royces while their people starve by the millions or die of preventable diseases.
      If the Democrat-controlled Congress passes this bill, the United States will have taken the first step toward the complete surrender of our national sovereignty.
      And by the way, THE HOUSE HAS ALREADY PASSED THIS BILL! We MUST stop it in the Senate!

      Let them know in no uncertain terms that you are watching and you will not tolerate massive United Nations style giveaways that are passed in the dark of night -- or in broad daylight for that matter. Tell them that putting us on the road to give billions to petty tyrants and dictators is NOT a solution to poverty.
      This bill can come up for a vote at any time. Demand that our conservative legislators do whatever it takes -- a filibuster if necessary -- to stop this bill dead in its tracks.

      The amount of money alone should be sufficient to toss this bill into the Capitol Hill dumpster.
      But more -- much more -- may be at stake, because this monstrous bill starts us down a very dangerous path!
      Specifically, Obama's bill would require that the President: "acting through the Secretary of State, and in consultation with the heads of other appropriate departments and agencies of the United States Government, international organizations, international financial institutions, the governments of developing and developed countries, United States and international nongovernmental organizations, civil society organizations, and other appropriate entities, shall develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to further... the reduction of global poverty, the elimination of extreme global poverty, and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goal" [Emphasis Mine]
      And just who are these "international organizations" and "international nongovernmental organizations" and "other appropriate entities?"
      You guessed it!
      To translate this gobbledygook, we're talking about the United Nations (among other things).
      After all, the Millennium Development Goal is a United Nations creation. So essentially we'll do what the United Nations tells us to do -- something they don't have the right to do.
      It's blood-boiling to see Members of the United States Senate -- like robots -- putting us into a position to carry out the whims of third-world despots and tyrants and crooks.
      By the way, since we're on the subject, the UN's Millennium Development Goal -- proclaimed in 2000 -- contains plans for additional assaults on your wallet. Among those goals are:
      a "currency transfer tax," that is, a tax imposed on companies and individuals who must exchange dollars for foreign currency;
      a "tax on the rental value of land and natural resources";
      a "royalty on worldwide fossil energy projection -- oil, natural gas, coal";
      and "fees for the commercial use of the oceans, fees for airplane use of the skies, fees for use of the electromagnetic spectrum, fees on foreign exchange transactions, and a tax on the carbon content of fuels."
      It's clearly time to break the kneecaps of the United Nations, before these third-world despots, tyrants, dictators and ayatollahs bankrupt us.

      Here are some of the additional provisions of the Millennium Development Goal:
      a "standing peace force," meaning a standing United Nations army that might, in time, be large enough to force us to bend to its will;
      a "UN arms register of all small arms and light weapons," the beginning of the end of the Second Amendment to our Constitution;
      "peace education," to be offered "at all levels from preschool through university" (peace = Big Brother);
      and "political control of the global economy."
      In other words, it's a blueprint for a totalitarian world government, the kind Hitler and Stalin had in mind.
      The Millennium Development Goal also calls for "strengthening the United Nations for the 21st century" by "eliminating" the veto and permanent membership in the Security Council.
      And who are the turncoats who want to throw open the gates and let in the barbarians: Senators Barack Obama, Richard Lugar, Joseph Biden, Maria Cantwell, Chris Dodd, Dick Durbin, Russ Feingold, Diane Feinstein, Chuck Hagel, Olympia Snowe, Tim Johnson, Tom Harkin and Robert Mendez (RINOs in Red).
      We must stop this subversion NOW! Don't let the Obama 13 sneak this one past us.
      If we do, our country will never be the same again.

      The Millennium Development Goal -- which, by the way, President Clinton endorsed -- also proposes:
      the "eradication of poverty" by the "redistribution [of] wealth and land,"
      cancellation of "the debts of developing countries,"
      and "a fair distribution of the earth's resources."
      The Soviet Union is back in business, this time calling itself the United Nations.
      Stalin "redistributed the land" in the 1930s, and the more prosperous farmers -- who for some strange reason didn't want to give up what they'd worked so hard to build -- were killed off... over 3 million. And almost 2 million more were shipped off to Siberia.
      How do you suppose the United Nations expects to "redistribute" the land and the wealth? And what country do you think the third-world majority will go after first?
      One thing is clear: the UN Millennium Development Goal is a dagger aimed at the heart of America.
      Yet the Global Poverty Act, as presently championed by the Obama 13, embraces certain aspects of the UN Millennium Development Goal.
      One should wonder if some of our legislators also support land and wealth "redistribution."
      We must stop this bill dead in its tracks.

      Dr. Jeffrey D. Sachs -- a Columbia University economist -- is monitoring the Millennium Development Goal for the United Nations.
      In his 2005 report to Kofi Annan -- based on the research of 265 "poverty specialists" -- Sachs criticized the United States for giving only a mere $16.3 billion a year to alleviate global poverty.
      He argued that we should spend at least an additional $30 billion a year.
      And Sachs has decreed that the only way to force the United States to commit that much money is to impose a global tax.
      Have the Obama 13 introduced the Global Policy Act at least in partial obedience to his commands?
      Phyllis Schlafly claims:
      "The Global Poverty Act would be a giant step toward the Millennium Goals of global governance and international taxes on Americans. Tell your Senators to kill this un-American bill."
      Joe Farah, publisher of WorldNetDaily.com said of this treacherous bill:
      "Now comes an even grander proposal by Barack Obama. It's called the Global Poverty Act, that would, in the next decade, transfer at least $845 billion of U.S. taxpayer money overseas. Think of Johnson's failed war on poverty going international -- directed not by Americans but by the United Nations."
      And yes, just in case you think the massive amounts of your tax dollars that were wasted under the United Nation's Oil for Food program were an aberration, and that such a thing could not eventually happen on a more massive scale were the Obama 13's Global Poverty Act sneak through the Senate, Doug Powers, writing for WorldNetDaily.com made this observation:
      "Not long ago, Nigeria's 'anti-corruption commission' -- runner-up in the 'oxymoron of the year' competition, second only to 'U.S. Senate Intelligence' -- found that past rulers of Nigeria have stolen or misused billions of dollars."
      "The commission discovered that the amount of money 'missing' adds up to all the Western aid given to Africa in four decades. Obama, Hagel and Cantwell want to throw more at them. Apparently they won't be happy until there are trillions of our tax dollars stolen by crooked leaders and warlords." [Emphasis Mine]
      If the American people knew what was going on, we might well have a second American Revolution. But the Obama 13's Global Poverty Act is still flying under the radar.
      But there is hope.
      WE know, and we can stop this vicious bill -- provided we act Right Now!
