While this is not an official Movie Bear outing, Joe wanted to make this great event available to us.

Reeling Presents THE TIMES OF HARVEY MILK

Where: Chicago Filmmakers - 5243 N. Clark St.

      Time: Reception - 7:00 PM & Screening - 8:00 PM

A contemporary classic of documentary filmmaking and an Academy Award
winning film, THE TIMES OF HARVEY MILK (1984, 88 mins., DVD) was more
than just a film - its success helped advance the gay rights movement
into the mainstream. Directed by Robert Epstein and Richard
Schmiechen, the film is a compelling and heart-felt look at the life
and tragic assassination of San Francisco city councilman Harvey Milk,
the first openly gay elected official in California. This special
screening is in honor of the film's upcoming 25th anniversary and in
anticipation of the release of the new Gus Sant film MILK.
