More than 1,000 Chechen police died in anti-terrorist operations
      -Chechen Interior Ministry

GROZNY. Oct 17 (Interfax) - More than 4,000 Chechen police officers
died, were wounded or were disabled during anti-terrorist operations,
Chechen Interior Minister Ruslan Alkhanov said.

"To be more precise, 1,045 people have died, 2,852 were wounded, 106
were disabled during that period," Alkhanov said at a ceremony to honor
the police officers who died at the Chechen Interior Ministry on Wednesday.

"These figures are indisputable proof that Chechen interior officers
served their country honestly to the end and fought courageously members
of illegal armed units," he said.

Deputy Russian Interior Minister Arkady Yedelev, who attended the
ceremony, said, "Russian Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev highly
values the results of the work of Chechen Interior officers."

Even though this number comes from the occupation "authorities", it's
interesting and enormous. One has to remember that Chechen puppet forces
only have been used on a large-scale basis for a few years now. This
number alone exposes mini-Kadyrov's lies about a total "normalization".
And it raises questions. Did the official Russian number of total losses
published recently (6000+) include these Chechen puppets? That would
bring the alleged Russian losses in two wars down to 5000, pretty much
the number they have been circulating for more than a decade, in total
      disregard of established facts.
Btw., these puppets didn't "serve their country" at all, but another
one, just like Mr. Alkhanov. N.S.
