On a visit to the Pankisi valley in Georgia, close to the border with Chechnya, a man, spied a clock for sale in a market. The numbers ran counter-clockwise and the hands ran backwards. It"s a Chechen clock! said the man trying to sell it for $30. It goes in the wrong direction. Time goes backwards into the past. You see, it"s clever! It"s necessary! We have to erase the last 70 years! The man was delighted with this piece of Chechen ingenuity and beat the seller down to $20.
