Minister of Internal Affairs of the ChRI, Brigadier General Aidamar
      Abalayev, became shaheed

Representative of the General Staff of the ChRI Armed Forces Rizvan
Arsanukayev confirmed the death of the commander of the Nojai-Yurt
military sector, Brigadier General Aidamar Abalayev.

Let's recall that yesterday the Commander of the Presidential Guard of
the ChRI, A. Abdurahmanov, denied the reports from the Russian military
about A. Abalayev's death. It has to be noted that A. Abalayev's life,
which hasn't been easy during the last years, was given to the
protection of the freedom and independence of the Chechen people. For
many citizens of the ChRI he was remembered as a person modest in life
and brave in combat, fearless struggling against both the internal
criminals and the Russian occupiers. Born in the populated area of
Zandak, where the well-known Chechen leader Imam Alibek-hadji Aldamov
came from, following his heroic example, he gave his life in the battle
      with the Russian aggressors.

Aidamar Abalayev will forever enter into the history of the Chechen
people as a courageous soldier who was killed while shielding the
freedom and independence of his people. Dala gazot k'obal doila zuynan!

      ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chechen commander died as a real hero

According to the eyewitnesses of the battle between a group of Chechen
troops and a numerous Russian military unit, which happened on 30 April
in the mountaineous part of the Nojai-Yurt District, one can be
convinced that both A. Abalayev and his soldier comrades fought and died
      bravely.

The commander of the Nojai-Yurt military sector and his military
assistants were bound for a military base where their combat unit was
located, when they stumbled on an ambush of the Russian occupiers.
Besides the Russian agressors, Yamadayev's renegades were placed in the
ambush, too. They indicated the secret paths to the occupiers. At the
moment when Aidamar Abalayev and his two assistants were next to them,
the occupiers pointed their weapons at them and demanded their
surrender, which they, defending themselves, answered by shooting from
attached grenade launchers and automatic guns. Not expecting this course
of events, the aggressors trembled for a while, which allowed the
Chechens to engage in an all-round defense.

Because of this, they could deliver a real battle to the enemy, killing
at least 5 occupiers and one national traitor. Surrounded from all
sides, the Chechen soldiers fired back to the last cartridge, until the
enemy bullets killed them. The enemy continued to shoot on the lifeless
bodies of the Chechens for a long time, fearing to approach them. The
Russian officers were forced to note the heroism of the three Chechens
who were battling with fortitude against superior forces of the enemy.
The Chechen commander and his comrades embarked the path of Allah as
      shaheeds.

As it has become known, the military units subordinated to General A.
Abalayev, having learned about the death of their commander, vowed to
      take revenge for his death.
