Group Description

The ReUseIt Network is an on-line forum that serves as a tool to make connections between community members who want to help each other, themselves, and their environment. In a disposable society where many items are discarded long before they have actually outlived their use, The ReUseIt Network helps get things from people who have them but don't want them to people who want them but don't have them.

The Chattanooga ReUseIt group is for Chattanooga, TN and surrounding areas. (Extension of the International ReUseIt Network Movement) Green is no longer just a color, it needs to be a way of life!

The purpose of this group is to cut down on trash that ends up in landfills, by passing on to others in need. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! You are encouraged to post to give away anything that you no longer need, instead of throwing them away into an already overflowing landfill. Give these items away FREE to others by setting up appointments, or you can post items that you have placed on your curb as "curb alerts"

Welcome to Chattanooga, TN ReUseIt as we build this site together. EVERYTHING posted MUST BE FREE,legal, and appropriate for all ages. This group is part of the ReUseIt Network, a movement of people interested in keeping good stuff out of landfills. Check out http://www.reuseitnetwork.org/ for other cities.
