My guess, from reading her blog and comics, is that she is a decent transportation/ vehicular bicyclist like I am who has also had various negative encounters

Group Description

The Chainguard list is for those who have moved beyond debating vehicular-cycling on our roads as compared to paving America again with separate bicycle facilities. The Chainguard list is for those who believe that bicyclists have the right, should expect, and be prepared to demand, safe accommodation as vehicle operators on EVERY road - the concept known as Vehicular Cycling. Vehicular Cyclists believe that, combined with education and relatively minor enhancements, the operation of bicycles as vehicles on our existing road network is the only realistic and environmentally sound approach which can result in any significant amount of bicycle transportation and recreation cycling in North America.

The ONLY correct topic for posts to the Chainguard list is:

That's ADVOCACY, with an emphasis on effective methods and ideas.
