Re: [CEREBRAL PALSY CLUB] Looking for some answers!!
- Hi, my name is Lisa and my daughter Bethany is three and a half. Bethany was born at 25 weeks and had numerous problems and i too struggled to get a diagnosis for her until she was 18mths. I think the reason they left it that long was because of her premature birth, they like to wait and see if they catch up. If you are still worried push for some answers, that is all you can do. Each child is different and i have yet to find another like Bethany. Do work on the physoi though, the earlier you start the easier it gets, i hope you get some answers soon

Subject: [CEREBRAL PALSY CLUB] Looking for some answers!!
I have concerns that my daughter has CP but none of the
professionals I currently work with will give me a straight
answer...they say I should just sit back and wait. My daughter was
born at 24 weeks gestation. Today she is 10 months (corrected)/14
months (actual) and she is still not sitting on her own. She tend
to have her arms in the "fencer-position" some of the time and has
poor head control. Because she was so premature the doctors are
saying to work on her PT and watch for improvements but I am worried
there should be more I have to do if she does have CP. I have been
unable to find answers to my questions. I am involved with a
premature baby support group online but because each baby's
situation is unique it is hard to get answers to my questions. Will
she sit, crawl, walk like other babies??
