      Hi folks,

This week there has been a light trickle of migrant shorebirds at the
Sacramento Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant with a near complete
turnover from day to day. In quick visits I've noted the following:

6/28/04 2 Greater Yellowlegs and a mix of ~40 Least and Western
      Sandpipers
6/29/04 2 Greater Yellowlegs, 1 Lesser Yellowlegs, 1 Western and
      several Least Sandpipers
      6/30/04 2 Wilson's Phalaropes (1m, 1f), and several Least Sandpipers

The treatment plant sewage ponds are closed to the public, but there are
guided tours of the surrounding Bufferlands. For more information,
      visit www.bufferlands.com
Bird-related tours, when scheduled, are posted at
      www.sacramentoaudubon.org
