This special issue of Advancement News announces the launch of the Lowe's Charitable and Educational Foundation Eagle Scout service project grant program for 2013-2014.

Through the Lowe's Foundation effort, approximately 3,600 Eagle Scout candidates will each receive $100 grants in the form of Discover gift cards funded by the Lowe's foundation.
The program is very different from what it was in 2012, so review the special issue carefully. Councils do not have the same level of responsibility they had before, and the National Advancement Team will be sending the $100 Eagle Scout service project grants directly to Scouts that your council identifies.
If you are associated with a unit, or if you're an advancement committee member or chair, you'll want to become informed about this opportunity so your Scouts will be able to take advantage of it.
