Group Description

The Chester County SPCA is the largest, registered, non-profit, humane animal shelter in Chester County, PA. Our number one goal is to place every adoptable animal in a permanent home.

The purpose of this group is to create an easy and accessible way for CCSPCA staff and volunteers to communicate to one another about animal care shedules, upcoming special events, and other shelter news.

1) POLLS: Voice your opinion by clicking on "polls" and giving the shelter your feedback on daily polls.

2) CALENDAR: Stay updated on CCSPCA special events, Chester County local events, and volunteer orientations by clicking on "Calendar."

3) FILES: Download and print a copy of the new CCSPCA shelter program, volunteer rotation, manuals, and other helpful files for your own records. Useful files on Humane Education, Pet Care, fundraising tips, and other Chester County SPCA info are also available!

4) POST: Keep our Shelter and Administrative Staff updated on your volunteer schedules by posting us messages online if you cannot make a shift. We will keep you updated with daily postings of animal adoptions, shelter news, and calls for volunteers.

5) PHOTOS: Got pictures? CCSPCA Alumni? Holiday pictures? Past Events? Send them to Volunteer Manager, Kathryn Sippel, at humaneedandvolunteer@ccspca.org to be put in one of our CCSPCA web group albums!

6) LINKS: Visit to find links to Open Paw animal care procedures, other shelters and humane organizations, and other useful websites.

Please note: This website is updated daily. Please keep posted messages limited to appropriate material such as volunteer shifts, questions, and shelter news. Any suggestions or concerns you may have concerning the CCSPCA, please forward to Volunteer Manager, humaneedandvolunteer@ccspca.org
