B33 Horsehead Nebula
- When I'm not imaging comets (and there aren't any really bright ones right now) I turn to emission nebulae. Last night the moon limited me to about 17.7 mags/square arc second, as measured on a Sky Quality Meter. This is equivalent to a NELM of 3.0. That's where the Hydrogen Alpha filter comes in. It effectively blocks all terrestrial light pollution and moon light.
