This is a recent image of a very strange and very challenging target.
The dynamic range on this one is just huge - the core is saturated in a
single 5-minute sub while the outer ring is extremely faint. The target was imaged with a 12.5"
PlaneWave CDK and a QSI-640ws camera at f/5.3 over a 3-night period in May and
June. Total integration time was 10.8 hours LRGB. Color balance was done with ExCalibrator, baseline processing in CCDStack, "selective" processing with PI, and all the rest in PS.
Clicking on the image will show a full-res rendition.
Thanks for looking.
