73181M17 and a little summer relaxation
- Aug 2, 2013I usually end up imaging faint targets, especially galaxies, and I
sometimes think I can hear the individual photons bouncing around in the
tube. :-) So it can be fun in the summer to pick a really bright target
like M17 and just blast away. Sitting under a dark California sky in
T-shirt and shorts all night is not really hard work.
This is an H-a LRGB composite image of just over 7 hours using 10 minute
subs. I used a 12.5" CDK scope with a QSI-640ws camera at f/5.2.
