      dear friends,
reading through your VBS programme, i find it rather shallow. it looks like a picnic party. in India, among the Catholic Syo-malabar rite people, there is a one month programme known as visvasa pariseelanam (faith exercises) course. it is a real rigourous course in Bible. the children get a kit of Bible, note book, text book, work book, calendar of the month, etc) The entire course they have both academic study of the Bible, bible through games and less picnic party bible courses! the parents are very happy with this. they say, Sunday catechesis organised by teh Syro-malabar rites (Catholic Church) in India(Kerala) are the best organised catechetical programme in the whole world. perhaps teh west could learn a thing or two.
