      The School of Computing is seeking to appoint a Professor to strengthen
      or complement the School's current research strengths in Computational
      Intelligence, Interactive Systems and Knowledge Based Systems. In
      particular, a complementary interest in Intelligent Agents would be
      welcome. The School of Computing has successful and thriving research
      activity based in a purpose built research centre within the School.

      The appointment is linked to the Joint Research Institute of
      Computational Systems that forms part of the recently established
      Northern Research Partnership with Aberdeen and Dundee Universities,
      funded by the Scottish Funding Council. The appointment aims to enhance
      current expertise and skills.

      The successful candidate will be an academic of international standing
      with the vision and leadership to play a central role in the development
      of its research. You must have demonstrable leadership potential,
      willingness to actively collaborate and a proven record of publication
      and externally funded research projects that establishes a reputation
      recognized at international level.

      Salary: 45,588 - 65,754

      Position Type: Full-time , Permanent

        The School of Computing is seeking to appoint a Professor to enhance
        or complement the School's vibrant research environment and strengths
        in developing innovative computing technologies that are highly
        relevant. The School's research community is in four main groups:
        Knowledge-Based Systems, computational Intelligence, Cognitive
        Engineering and Business Information Systems.

        The appointment is linked to the Joint Research Institute for
        Computational Systems that forms part of the Northern Research
        Partnership (Aberdeen, Dundee and Robert Gordon Universities), funded
        by the Scottish Funding Council.

        The appointment will be a researcher of international standing with
        the vision and leadership to play a central role in the development of
        research both in the School and the Joint Research Institute for
        Computational Systems. You must have demonstrable leadership skills
        and potential for growth and a strong willingness to collaborate. You
        must also have a proven record of publication and externally funded
        research projects that establishes a reputation recognised at
        international level.

        Salary: £46956-£67727
