- We are part of the long lost JJ Carswell group we have emailed before.
John Jacob Carswell is buryed in the Macedonia Cemetery in a un marked grave. My father (Earl W Carswell) and a bunch of his cousin went with there grandpa to clean the graveyard when they were teens. He said that JJ was buryed under a cedar tree. Well the cedar tree grew and many more have sprouted and grown since then. I went there with my parents about 20 years ago and my dad was not compeletly sure of the absolute place but he was in that cemetery.
I have read your notices on yahoo group and decided I would give you what I have and know. I do have a great deal on Laura Emma Norwood's family. JJ came to Texas around 1839- 1845 according to some Land records it is closer to 1839.
I have included a list of decendants from John Jacob and Laura Emma Carswell. The picture of John Jacob Carswell is the same one that was posted earlier by someone else.
If you can let us know about what we need for the DNA tests maybe I can convince one of my four brothers to take it.
Attached is my familyThanks,
Patricia Carswell Potts
