Join educators during this follow-up session to the introductory
professional development session on /Learning Ocean Science through
Ocean Exploration/, a curriculum developed by the National Oceanic
and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA's) Office of Ocean
Exploration. Conduct inquiry- and standards-based activities tied
directly to ocean expeditions with Ocean Exploration Program
Facilitator Dr. Elizabeth Day of BridgeWater Education Consultants.
You will also have the opportunity to share your experiences with the
use of the Ocean Exploration Web site and curriculum with other
Pre-registration is required and space is limited. A continental
breakfast, lunch, Certificate of Participation, and unique take-home
materials will be provided to all participants. A $100 stipend will
be available for those who participated in both the Introductory
(October 2007) and Follow-up Workshops (April 19, 2008). If spaces
are available, educators who have not yet participated in a NOAA
Ocean Exploration Introductory Workshop are welcome to join us for
this Follow-up Workshop. Those who do so will receive a $50 stipend.
Registration deadline is April 16, 2008. Priority will be given to
those who participated in the Introductory Workshop in October, 2007.
