      One of the principal partners in this project is Bioregional, an
      environmental organisation in London (homepage at
      http://www.bioregional.com ). Here is their page on the Portuguese
      project, at Mata de Sesimbra, south of Lisbon:


      Another interesting read is the page on their first "zero emissions
      development", BedZED, where they are now headquartered:

      For anyone who's interested, I recommend Googling "BedZED". You'll get
      nothing but direct hits, and most of them will have a lot of very
      interesting information.

      Another page from Bioregional, on a project in its first stages for a
      more largescale ZED in the London area, with at least a carfree centre.

      the initial planning proposal, which could prove useful in thinking
      about planning carfree developments in general:
