New regulations are being put in place in Ontario for including a
minimum 5% ethanol in the province's gasoline within three years,
according to this story from CBC:

      http://www.cbc.ca/story/canada/national/2004/11/26/ethanol-gas-ontario
      -041126.html

The story also covers criticisms of ethanol's net efficiency compared
to the energy input required to produce it, as well as criticisms that
despite reducing pollutants in gasoline (equivalent to taking 200 000
cars off the roads, according to premier Dalton McGuinty), it
apparently produces other kinds of pollutants itself.
