      There is a quite interesting article in the November issue of
      _Landscape architecture_, a publication of the American Society of
      Landscape Architects. It deals with the process of planning the gradual
      urbanisation of Damascus, Oregon, an area within the city's green
      perimeter, and devotes quite a bit of attention to the way the planners
      conceived the new urban area with large "green fingers" between
      neighbourhoods, which also help to define the neighbourhoods. There is
      some interesting discussion of the charrette process and people's
      reactions as well, which could be useful to anyone eventually going
      through a similar process for a carfree city or neighbourhood. Here is
