      To: pqrr and montrain lists.

I was talking to someone on the phone last night
(Thursday) and we were talking about the news item
on Channel 22 (WVNY - Plattsburg) Wednesday evening
on the late evening news broadcast. Seems that the
State of Vermont are investigating the possibility
of new rail lines for both passenger and freight
(what a novel concept!). The first project under
study is the former Rutland (?) line between
Bennington Vt and North Adams (at least I think
the reporter said that). the reason? - too many
cars on the state highways and roads and making more
roads is not as cost effective and enviroment friendly.
