Bringing back street facilities
- Previous generations used their streets for many things including entertainment, play, markets, etc. Even today in Rome, people sit eating at tables in the street with cars squeezing by. `Shared Space' is a way to bring some life back to our streets and yet often streets have no facilities.
LA is perhaps the most car-orientated city. Food trucks have set up business on a street in LA that lacked eating facilities bringing people onto a street in LA that once only served the transport function. Is this a way to bring facilities back to city streets?
