Re: [capri26] Re: Replacement MastThanks, Bob, Mark and M’lou. Our sailing season is drawing to a close to here in TN. So I’m not missing much with the boat out of commission. I agree with you all about reefing or not going out if the wind is up. A reef would have been in order if we had known what was coming. There was no weather report of any front coming through or for anything more than 10-15MPH winds. It really caught us by surprise and the mast came down before we could shorten sail. So your quote " If it's going to happen, it's going to happen out there" really applies.

try to double reef the main in that kind of blow but it sounds like
you were racing and that can change things. Good luck on putting her
back together. Our boat is sitting in our field now and the high today
is going to be in the 30's with lows tonight in the teen's. With any
luck you'll be sailing before us.
