Will Africa Let Sudan Off the Hook? - An Op-Ed by Archbishop Desmond Tutu in the March 3 New York Times, questions the stance of African Nations, in particular the Group of 77, of which Cape Verde is a member, on Sudan.

“More recently, the Group of 77, an influential organization at the United Nations consisting of 130 developing states and including nearly every African country, gave Sudan its chairmanship. The victory came after African members endorsed Sudan ’s candidacy in spite of the imminent criminal charges against its president.”

Question – what is Cape Verde ’s position on this matter?

(In doing some checking on Cape Verde-Sudan, I came across a very interesting Wikipedia  piece on Jews in Cape Verde in the context of Jews of the Bilad al-Sudan, which describes West African Jewish communities who were connected to known Jewish communities from the Middle East, North Africa, or Spain and Portugal . -
