      The Central Alabama Oracle User Group meeting for November 16,
      2000 will feature Dr. Barrett R. Bryant, associate professor
      at the UAB Department of Computer and Information Sciences.

      Dr. Bryant's topic will be :

      "USING JAVA TO CONECT TO ORACLE DATABASES."

      The meeting will be held in UAB's Campbell Hall, Room 435
      from 11:30-1:00. Campbell Hall is on the corner of 13th Street and
      University Blvd. This day is during final exam week when not all
      classes meet, so parking should be available on the street -
      at least within 2-3 blocks. The presentation is scheduled
      to begin at 12:00, so you may wish to come early to find
      parking and socialize. This a 'brown bag' event - bring
      your own lunch!

      UAB offers a variety of courses on topics such as Oracle
      Programming, Database Administration, Linux, PERL, and Java
      through their Continuing Education programs. You may wish
      to check out their web site at www.cis.uab.edu, Continuing
      Education.

      =======================================

      See you all there.
