Canadian National Pagan Conference - Gaia Gathering
      NEXT YEAR IN HALIFAX!

The first Canadian National Pagan Conference, held in
Edmonton on the May long weekend, brought out over a
hundred eager participants, and we're all looking
forward to the second conference, next May, in
      Halifax.

(And the year after that in Winnipeg. Picking
locations two years in advance in future, to give
organizers and participants lots of time to plan.)

Past, Present & Future was the theme this year. Kevin
Marron, who wrote Witches, Pagans & Magic in the New Age,

in 1989, about the Pagan scene in Canada, started out the conference with a
look to the past. Then academics and practitioners
discussed organizing churches (or continuing as
      essentially uninstitutionalized), Pagan parenting,
      gender issues, chaplaincy, environment, etc.
      (See details on the website.)

And watch for updates at www.gaiagathering.ca.

P.S. - Bring your own mug to Halifax. (If you don't, you'll have to
buy one from us!) (no paper cups, no styrofoam - walk our talk)

P.P.S. - Think about fund-raising or contributing to the conference
travel fund (which already has $250 in it) - Halifax is a long way
      away for most people.
