Just to remind everyone of our next INFORMAL rally on Sat 2 Aug.

Chichester; Sat 2 Aug, HW Ports, 15:27 GMT. This is Cowes Week so it should be quieter & I thought we could anchor in the Thorney Channel.

We are Looking forward to seeing everyone. We also hope to welcome back Stewart & Karen on Pompero of Down a Nic 35 who I met in Porta Santo last year while on route to do the ARC 2013. They have since been to the Caribbean, back to the Azores & now home. It will be good to see them again & catch up with a few beers!

      September Rally.

Yarmouth; Sat 12 Sept, HW Ports, 13:32 GMT. This is the start of the Southampton Boat Show. Numbers would also be useful.

Kind Regards, Adrian & Lesley, Coriander Nic 35

I have left Argonaut of Rhu in Southampton and will be sailing home about the 1st of August and would like to meet up will you. Argonaut has just come off a ship from the US and is a little rough after 12 years cruising and the Atlantic crossing and two years in the US.

Hope to see you in Chichester,

                        Hi Ralph,
I will probably anchor south of the main moorings which is appox opposite Rithe Creek. 50*48.7 N. - 0*54.2 W.
Some people may prefer to pick up a mooring but I would not go further North than the sailing club slipway & church on the west bank at 50*48.9 N - 0*54.2 W.
The slipway area will be busier with club activities but no one will be very far apart. You will need a dinghy & outboard to socialise with everyone & of course you are all welcome to come aboard Coriander for a tipple. Coriander is fairly easy to pick out with a beige coloured hull & cream deck.
                        Regards, Adrian

It was good to meet up with Adrian on Coriander in Yarmouth back in June on our way down.

It's great that the informal rally idea seems to be gathering momentum - keep at it Adrian!

                            Hi Ralph,
I will probably anchor south of the main moorings which is appox opposite Rithe Creek. 50*48.7 N.

Could you give me a little more information at to where you will be anchored. I will be navigating on my Android. A lat and long would be good.

Two years ago, I had to change the raw water pump (Jabsco) on my Piranha IV engine. Since the original pump has been abandonned by Jabsco years ago, I bought a Jabsco 404 and had a piedestal made so that it would fit on the engine. That worked very fine !

Alas, my PiranhaIV eventually died down last year.

I got this (almost brand new) {piedestal + Jabsco 404} that I would be happy to sell for 50 GBP + transportation from France  (after an original cost for both of 500GBP).

                              Anybody interested ?

Last time I went past the Scillies was in a Bowman 42 on 10th July at night on my way back from Porta Delgada, Azores, didn't see anything!!! It's amazing that we only saw 3 ships a couple of hundred miles from the Azores & then saw nothing until off the Lizard at 4 in the morning! It,s a lonely place, the longest port tack I've ever been on, 9 days!

                                Cheers, Adrian
