      Hi Adrian,

If we make it along this weekend it will be toward the evening as we are not able to get down to the boat until around lunchtime tomorrow thus ruling out a tide assisted early start.

Great weather for it though….if a bit lacking in wind.  The RTI will be a bit dull.

On that topic.  I have just heard back from the Island Sailing Club.  Competition for the Nicholson 35 Challenge Trophy has been poor in recent years so they have been thinking about withdrawing it.  I have suggested (in discussion with other Nic groups) that they convert it to ‘The Nicholson Cup’ and they have agreed.  From 2015 it will be open to any Camper and Nicholson production yacht competing under the ISC handicap (cruisers class).  This is subject to final confirmation but if they do that it will open things up a bit and maybe provide some fun competition with the opportunity for a meet up or dinner after the race perhaps?

      All the best

      Hi everyone,

Just to remind you of the next informal Solent Rally at Beaulieu this coming weekend if you didn't get the Yahoo Group e-mail. Lets try & make it more than 2 which was the number at the last rally!!

Beaulieu: Sat 21 June, HW Ports, 06:10 GMT. This is the Round the Island W/E which means that hopefully it will be quite in Beaulieu. I thought maybe the pontoons across the river at Gins Farm. There are usually a few moorings free in the area as well, so we can get together on the pontoon for the usual chat & liquid refreshments.  Might be useful to me know how many are coming.

Chichester; Sat 2 Aug, HW Ports, 15:27 GMT. This is Cowes Week so it should be quieter & I thought we could anchor in the Thorney Channel.

Yarmouth; Sat 12 Sept, HW Ports, 13:32 GMT. This is the start of the Southampton Boat Show. Numbers would also be useful.

At least this gives us something to work to.  If we can make just 1 or 2 dates it will have achieved it's purpose at being informal.

Kind Regards, Adrian & Lesley, Coriander Nic 35
