      Hi Graham
Yes that was what i meant. I was thinking if the mast would be okay with this treatment now 30+ years after produced. I´m working with alu daily (Google, Wolturnus) that is where i work.
I thought about getting a new (other) bom and would therefore like the look off the mast and bom to be alike.

It was more about if it would be worth the job on an old mast and things like that, and has it been done before

I'm not familiar with the name "Aloxal" - are you referring to re-anodizing the mast?  If so, it's not really practical to do yourself on a small scale since you'd need to submerge the mast in a chemical bath while simultaneously applying an electric current.

      Hi All
      Can this be done....?
We had just rigged off our mast for the vinter an can see some thing we would like to do to our mast along with a new bom and was therefore thinking if it would be posible to re-aloxal the old mast insted off just paint it.
