During the month of February 2012 three Calgary libraries are hosting a
Digital Detox Day (no playing on computers), and have asked the CCC and
CJCC to assist. I am requesting as many juniors and adults to come out
and support this good cause.
The advertisement by the library states quote:
Enjoy a great game and test your skill as a Chess Master plays up to 20
challengers at once, in partnership with the Calgary Chess Club and the
Calgary Junior Chess Club. A 5-round blitz tournament will also be run.
These are the dates, CCC Master and individual organizers.

Organizers were Paul Gagne and Jim Daniluk. This initial event was very
successful, as reported by David Luinstra (Customer Service Manager). He
would like a repeat performance during the Spring/Summer.

#3 Sunday Feb. 26, 2012 from 12:30 - 4:30 PM at the Forest Lawn Library.
