I've still had five way conflicts on some nights :)

Newest Tivo has 4 tuners for up to 4 shows recording without resorting to
clipping for protection, quite useful on some nights when it seems all the
shows are on at the same time on different channels.

ended int at 9:01p and starting at 9:00p I can choose to start or end later
and still program back to back recordings even though the first runs over
into the 9pm hour. Their iPad app is fantastic and works well.

all the HD channels even to the typically SD call numbers (so both 2 and 702
are HD), on Tivo - only 702 is HD (so, if I want to record something I don't
care particularly about, I can record it in SD).

decent amount up front. But, with the warranty on the Tivos, I know I'm
ensured to have Tivo service for *at least* four years. When I do the math,
I basically break even with what I'd be paying CV for boxes, etc. around 2.5
years in; so the next 1.5 years (plus) are gravy.

onto any number of external drives). When I want to watch them, I can simply
reload them back onto the Tivo device.
