Re: [cablevision_digital] Re: HDTV
- Why is it that every time CVC does something for the customer base they talk of charging more?
The IO service leaves a lot to be desired to begin with. In NYC one does not get charged extra for an HDTV capable box. You pay the same rate as you do for digital TV service. If you have an HDTV ready TV and asl for an HDTV box, you getit, no surchage.
It seems to me CVC should focus on delivering good services that meet or beat the competition and not just think of how to charge an extra dollar here or there.
That is what got them into trouble with these Sony boxes in the first place. I know I do not know what I am talking about, however I have been an IO user for a year and the GUI, although "improved" is still as slow as mollases and there is still no HDTV solution on the horizon as far as I can see.
- Call CV. You need to upgrade to an HD box. SA4200HD. No extra charge, but they'll hit you with a one-time $30 charge for the visit. Non-negotiable. We've all tried.

I just purchased a HDTV w/ built in tuner. My question for the group is: What do I need so I can receive HDTV programming?. I already have IO cable and do I need a new cable box. The box I have is SA Explorer 1850.
Thanks in advance
