You can encourage the K–12 artists in your life to have fun, connect with nature and help protect one of our country's most iconic natural wonders: Tell kids about the Save the Redwoods League Find Me in the Redwoods art contest, which starts on September 10! K–12 students are encouraged to draw, paint or sketch their way toward a chance to win fabulous redwoods prizes and learn about the tallest and some of the oldest and largest living things on Earth.
Winners will be announced on November 15, 2012, via email and on the League's website, SaveTheRedwoods.org. Winning entries will be showcased in League publications or featured on our website. All entries will be mailed to Ken Salazar, Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior. No fee is required to enter the contest. Entry forms are available in English and Spanish.
New in this year's contest are fabulous redwoods prizes for teachers associated with the first-place winners.
All submissions and completed contest entry forms must be postmarked or hand-delivered by October 19, 2012, 5 p.m. U.S. Pacific Time.
Please help us spread the word about the contest and share it on social media!
