Art competitionn for Google
- Copied from another posting. Sorry if you've already seen it.Julie-------------------From Parents for Public Schools:
Google is hosting an art competition called Doodle 4
Google. Today, We're inviting K-12 students across the
U.S. to design their own version of the Google logo.
One lucky student will have his or her doodle on the
Google homepage for a day (May 22nd). The winner will
also receive a $10,000 college scholarship, laptop,
and computer equipment for their school. Prizes
for finalists include trips to the Googleplex and
T-shirts featuring their doodles.
Children can participate only through schools that
register for the competition. If you think your
child's school might be interested in Doodle 4 Google,
please reach out to their elementary or secondary
teachers (Grades K-12) and let them know about the
competition. Ask them to visit
www.google.com/ doodle4google. We want as many kids to
get the chance to participate as possible, and a
personal invite will definitely help.
Registration for schools closes on 3/28/08. Public
entries must be postmarked by 4/12/08. Have fun!
